 Raisins

In the past, raisins were a core component of the diet of our ancestors who are believed to contain magical and highly beneficial properties. In Crete, raisins and grape are, together with the honey, the most important traditional sweeteners. Raisins are dried grapes. The production of raisins shows the ingenuity of man to maintain a nearly dehydrated (dry) form of the grape, a product that only offers nature in the summer months.

Today the grape is one of the most nutritious plant foods with special health beneficial ingredients. There are several varieties of grapes, but based on the color and flavor are divided into black and blonde. Black raisins are dark, dense color and flavor while the blonde, light golden color and a more astringent flavor.

Used as an ingredient in many dishes and excellent sweets, while in themselves are a nice snack especially for athletes. Raisins generally have great nutritional value, that is rich in nutrients but many calories and perform. At 100 grams raisins 250 calories match, while one cup of raisins equals about eight cups of fresh grapes.Raisins are a good source of iron, potassium and selenium and also contain vitamin A, and B vitamins and are rich in fiber.

Because the nutrients they contain are beneficial to health. Because a good vegetable source of iron, helps in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia. The raisins (dark or golden) is an excellent source of potassium, which has proven to be one factor that lowers blood pressure and fluid retention. Raisins abound in fiber, which act as constipation, hemorrhoids and help lower cholesterol. Study of the Center for Studies and Research of Los Altos, California, showed that 1/4 cup of raisins a day lowers cholesterol by 10%.

It is remarkable that raisins contain substances that fight bacteria in the mouth that are responsible for tooth decay and gum disease. These substances have the ability to suppress the growth of microbes in the mouth, to prevent sticking to the teeth and gums and prevent the creation of dental plaque. This contradicts the common perception that raisins are harmful to oral hygiene because they are sweet and sticky.

But research scientists at the University of Illinois at Chicago, proves the contrary. Specifically in raisins stoned, detected five phytochemicals that have antioxidant and antibacterial activity. The most active of these is oleanolik acid while less active acid is oleanik aldehyde, betulin ,vetoulik acid and furfural. It is known that consumption of sugar is responsible for the acidification and the creation of dental plaque. The raisins contain mainly fructose and glucose that do not support the formation of dental plaque.

Ιt is coincidence that the average age for men in Japan is 80 years and women 85. Neither coincidence is the fact that in 2008 there were 36,000 in Japan perennial. Something to do right diet and lifestyle that makes them live longer and be healthier.A typical, traditional Japanese diet contains:Small portions: Many dishes are served in separate small bowls, rather than one large plate and the portions are much smaller portions than we know. So portion size counts!Foods low in fat and calories:

The Japanese foods do not contain much oil and sauces rich in calories. It is simpler and lower in fat.Artistic food: In Japan, trying to present the dish to be artistic to make the other wants to try the food.Fiesta Vegetable: The Japanese enjoy vegetables in every form (boiled, fried, vinegar). Thus, the dishes always include a variety of vegetables, even at breakfast.Beneficial herbs: Japanese cuisine is known for its variety of spices offered. In a recent survey discovered that many of these herbs have several beneficial properties.Precious prebiotics: The Japanese use prebiotics in the diet for 75 years.

Many fish: Their diet contains a lot of fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids that make their diet more healthy
.Food passing fermentation: Eat a lot of dishes that go fermented, like miso soup, the sauce soy, drink sake and more. Scientists have found that these foods help to good health.Soy products: Soy has many beneficial properties. In Japan, soy is widely used either in the form of tofu, either as fresh (edamame), or in miso soup.Minimally processed foods and sweets: The Japanese cuisine is not known for either rich cream, butter, sugar and sweets, or for ... chocolates.

The Japanese enjoy fresh foods, like fruits and exceptionally few chips rice or sweets.Foods rich in fiber: While we are all connected to the Japanese eat with white rice. In recent years, however, and the Japanese have added to their diet brown rice and whole wheat noodles.Green tea is the most popular beverage in JapanConsumed throughout the day, cold or hot.

The green tea helps health just because of the polyphenols it contains, but replacing sugary sodas and other drinks containing sugar. One course may oppose to all this the Mediterranean diet, known worldwide as the most balanced diet. But how many more follow a proper Mediterranean diet rich in legumes, fruits, vegetables, fish and low in meat and fat?The Japanese follow the diet described above, because they have established in their schools and part of their education is the right diet.

At school, meals are served on colorful plates and decorated nicely in order to attract students to want to try. At lunch the school, always served miso soup, along with a small amount of fish, vegetables, fruit and milk. Thus, young children learn from the correct portions, variety on the plate and the importance of fresh food.

Very often make trips to places that produced rice, or fishing villages to get to see where they come from foods and even take part in the gathering of rice or cleaning fish. With such a program in schools, it is difficult to not follow a balanced and healthy diet in everyday life.Is it time therefore we adopt such a program in all schools? If young children learn about the diversity in the dish, small portions and fresh ingredients in dishes, perhaps the diseases associated with weight and poor diet unaware of the epidemic they have today.

In fact, if you're someone who's been on a fat burning diet before and has used a variety of different weight loss cookbooks to try to lose body fat, then you very likely know by now that those fat loss diets and cookbooks don't work.
But why don't they work? What is it about them that makes it so difficult to see successful weight loss?
Let's take a look at the issues.
  • Recipes are not made from foods with a high Metabolic Thermo-Charge
  • No structure to make you burn more body fat
  • They don’t fight the Metabolic Adaptation Phenomenon

In other words:
Problem #1: These "healthy fat loss" cookbooks use the wrong ingredients.Rather than using ingredients that will actually help you fight fat, they use unhealthy ingredients that often encourage your body to store fat like margarine, high calorie dressings, or even SUGAR!. In short, their recipes aren't optimized as a fat burning diet. Obviously not what you are looking for.

Problem #2: The second problem is that these cookbooks have no structure and are not organized to create qick and easy meal plans Often they're just a bunch of recipes put together – you pick and choose what you feel like at that point in the day. That is NOT going to make you burn fat faster!
Problem #3: Most of the time, you will end up eating the same un-metabolic foods over and over again, day after day. Doing so will contribute to slow down your metabolism to the point where you won’t be losing fat anymore. Instead you need to be eating the top fat burning foods to help keep your metabolism where it needs to be.

So how does Metabolic Cooking change this?

Solution #1: Metabolic Cooking recipes have all been designed with high Metabolic Thermo Charge ingredients.
Basically, we are using metabolic powers certain foods have to make your body burn more body fat.
This is essentially our way to use the thermogenic effect of food. The Metabolic Thermo Charge of food stands for how many calories your body is going to burn just breaking down the nutrients each time you consume a certain food.
Most people have absolutely no idea the power that some of these foods have on the fat burning processes that go on in the body, so they never really think twice about them.
Solution #2: Metabolic Cooking uses a really great “profiling system” for its recipes.
Our special Metabolic Nutri-Profile is the system that we’re using in all the recipes throughout Metabolic Cooking so you can see precisely what nutrients you're taking in and make sure that each meal is making the most out of your metabolic rate.

Most people like to make things a touch complicated when it comes to planning their diet and often resort to accurately weighing their meals and counting every last mili-calorie.
While you might feel like this guarantees you will get results, all it really does is drives your stress level through the roof, and make you fall off the fat loss wagon.
That’s why we have created the Metabolic Nutri-Profile, a VERY SIMPLE and EFFECTIVE approach that does NOT require complicated scientific calculations.
It is by far the best all-in-one meal management system we could have come up with.
Solution #3: Metabolic Cooking also fights the Metabolic Adaptation Phenomenon.
That phenomenon occurs at the point on your diet plan where you body clearly knows precisely what it's getting in terms of food intake and has fully adapted to that. When it reaches this state, that's when fat loss comes to a screeching halt.
The Metabolic Adaptation Phenomenon is a frustrating time for any dieter because this is the point where the body has fully adapted to the food intake you're feeding it and slows the metabolism down to match it.
When the metabolism slows down, now you'll be burning off just as many calories as you consumed through the diet, hence fat loss will come to a halt.
In order to get around the Metabolic Adaptation Phenomenon, you'll have to vary your nutrient intakes regularly, shocking the body as time goes on. This keeps it guessing as to what's coming next and ensures your metabolism stays on high at all times. Metabolic Cooking helps you with this as well by giving you the fat burning diet your body needs!

So, as you've just seen, Metabolic Cooking will help you burn fat faster by boosting your metabolism in many ways. But now, what’s more important, is that our recipes taste great. They aren't those tasteless meals that you actually start to avoid just because you can't stand the smell of them. They're meals you will look forward to, probably even start to crave. I know this because this is what my clients who use them have told me time and time again. After using our recipes, they don't even think twice about the old unhealthy food they used to eat because it just doesn't taste as good!
