Broccoli,cauliflower,watercress against cancer

Studies have capture capabilities, broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and watercress, to fight cancer. They found that drinking three or more servings per month of raw rather than cooked vegetables of the cruciferous family (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage) lowered the risk of bladder cancer by almost 40% overall.





The important thing is that smokers, particularly frantic, can also benefit from specific raw vegetables. The risk reduction associated with eating at least three servings of raw vegetables per month for avid smokers and smokers, accounted for approximately 40% to 54%.Reducing the risk of bladder cancer was higher (73%) among non-smokers who ate three or more servings per month.







Cooking significantly reduces or destroys the isotheiokyanates vegetables so it emphasizes the consumption in raw form, to gain the maximum benefit agency.To broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables are rich in isotheiokyanates, (ITC), a well known group of factors that appear to target and eliminate the mutated p53, associated with cancer development.









The p53 gene plays a central role in regulating the cell cycle by maintaining genetic stability.
 The p53 gene acts as a molecular switch that activates cellular control mechanism before the passage of the cell cycle from G1 to S phase and has the ability to activate transcription of target genes whose derivatives are related to inhibition of cell proliferation and the ability to induce cell apoptosis. It seems to play a critical role in maintaining healthy cells and protecting them from cancer. When this gene is damaged or mutations, stops to offer the same protection.

These mutations are found in about half of all human cancers.In a report published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, the researcher Xiantao Wang Georgetown University and colleagues analyzed the results of ITCS for p53 gene in a variety of human tumor cells, including lung, breast and colon cancer, in the laboratory.The results showed that isotheiokyanates ITCS was able to remove the defective p53 gene while leaving the healthy version of the gene alone.
